All The Things To Do

After spending the last month trying to find a work, life, candle balance, I’ve come to the conclusion that something has to go as there are just not enough hours in the day for everything.

Satan’s Little Helper said that he wasn’t moving and also refused to clean anything, or help in anyway to make candles. So I guess I’m stuck with him, even though he’s super unhelpful.

Apparently for now I still need to be a chef, so stuck there. And my friends said that they weren’t going anywhere either.

So I guessed that there was nothing else to do but cast a very strong spell to add more hours to the day.

It didn’t work.

SOOOO, now after applying for markets and finally getting a couple, The Local & General Market at the Clipper Hotel in Rockingham July 23rd, & The Rockingham Twilight Market September 24th, and also having something else in the works, I have resigned myself to the fact that I am going to have to forgo naps for a while.

The next few week will be spent making a lot of candles.

Starting with the T-Lights. Tonight’s batch, Voodoo Doll, Peppered Rainbow & Thornless Rose, with Thornless Rose & Poisoned Apple to be released in T-lights & Pillar candles this week.

Until next time have a great day.

Chrissi.

Sunday Multi-tasking

While one of us was multi-tasking the other was absolutely no help. I asked him to make the bed, He decided that that meant have a nap. Satan’s little helper is definitely not very helpful.

My candle making process.

When its cold outside even candles need ruggies. I’ve found that this helps to stop the excess shrinkage and sink holes in the candles as they are setting, and helps to slow the cooling process. Which also helps to stop the rigour mortise setting in to soon, just saying.

Introducing our current favourite, Peppered Rainbow.

When I was asked to make a cherry scented candle for a friend, I said “do you know me?” The answer is obviously not!! Because boring Old Cherry then became Black Cherry and Black Pepper, which is obviously a much spicier combo that everyone loves, after all who doesn’t love a little spice in their life?

Launching my business.

So close to launching. The last few days has seen so much product made, although it feels like not enough. Still waiting on labels to arrive for printing, and the foil for the melt bar packaging, yes I’m pedantic. The website has been a mammoth task, but thankfully Candice is an expert and has sooooo much patience, and with her help it has all come to fruition. But I do think she needs a stiff drink for putting up with me. :)
