Every idea for a candle is different. First I start with a fragrance idea. Then to fully formulate the idea I need to test the fragrance to see whether it works. And as I like to mix fragrances like I do flavors in cooking, this can some times be a bit of trial and error. I’ve found that just because mixing things like Black Magic, Wood Smoke and Coconut may sound like a great idea, sometimes it isn’t (trust me its really not).

That’s how Voodoo Doll came about, from playing with a fragrance idea, that then became a beautifully sublime blend of Black Magic, Cinnamon & Orange.

Then the real testing process begins. 1 fragrance may take weeks to get right with wick sizing for different containers.
